In order to further improve the foreign language proficiency and communicative ability of the young backbone teaching and scientific research personnel in colleges and universities in Guizhou Province, and cultivate a group of practical talents with high humanistic quality and international vision, who can proficiently use foreign languages to engage in teaching, scientific research and other work, Guizhou Provincial Department of Education organized youth backbone teachers to receive advanced English training for government-sponsored overseas academic visits. According to the document requirements of the “Notice of the Office of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education on Organizing and Implementing Young Backbone Teachers to Receive Advanced English Training Program for Government-sponsored Overseas Academic Visits”, MTI attached great importance to the training and decided to select Ms. Zou Zhongcai from the Scientific Research Office and Ms. Chen Qiuju from the Department of Automation to participate in the training.

The training lasted from September to December of 2021, which included two phases at Guizhou University and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. From the beginning of training to the end, the two teachers of MTI performed very well both in class and after. They both have completed the training with great success and successfully passed the test by the MOE Training Center for Overseas Study, GDUFS, obtained the completion certificate of MOE Training Center for Overseas Study, meeting the English requirements for applying for overseas study program via China Scholarship Council, which has made active preparations for our teachers’ applying for study abroad program.
