On March 29, the first “Let’s Talk to Our President Face-to-Face” Symposium of Moutai Institute was held in Room 115 of the Administrative Building. Mr. Cai Shaohong, President of Moutai Institute, attended and delivered a speech, and Deputy President Tian Wuxu presided over the meeting, which aims to further improve the level of education and push the Institute’s education to a new level. This year, the school-level leaders have extensively listened to students’ opinions and suggestions through various forms.

At the symposium, the students spoke enthusiastically and put forward a series of questions and suggestions on the Institute’s infrastructure construction, curriculum and learning, scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, etc. The relevant functional departments present immediately gave detailed answers to the questions.

Mr. Cai Shaohong pointed out in his speech that all relevant departments should attach great importance to and carefully sort out the opinions and suggestions of students, conduct in-depth investigations according to the situation. Meanwhile, all suggestions conducive for the construction and development of MTI are always welcome.

Mr. Cai Shaohong emphasized that MTI should strengthen the reform of teaching paradigms, improve students’ ability of independent learning, practical application and innovation and entrepreneurship, and help students grow up quickly. He also highlighted that every student should set goals, work hard, and cultivate themselves with both virtues and talents so as to take on great responsibilities in the new era.  

The students said that the symposium is fruitful and meaningful, and they will share the spirit of the meeting with their classmates and roommates so that more people can understand the original aspiration and purpose of the relevant policies of MTI, and let everyone work together to build a beautiful campus.

This symposium enhanced students’ sense of participation and gain, and further reflected the “student-oriented” educational philosophy of MTI. Such activities will be regularly organized in the future to encourage the majority of faculty and staff to get closer to the students and listen to them with the educating feelings of “caring and loving students as friends and family”. Students’ innermost thoughts can be used for the improvement of the Institute’s education, teaching and management services, providing reference to promote the high-quality development of MTI on the new journey and make great strides.
