The Department of Brewing Engineering Automation (the Department) has established such two specialties as Automation and Packaging Engineering. Up to now, the Department has about five hundred enrollments.
As of 2020, the Department has a faculty of 49 (full-time and part-time), including 15 professors, 14 associate professors, 10 lecturers and 10 teaching assistants, undertaking curriculums of both automation and packaging engineering majors, as well as the teaching and experimental work of computer science, physics and electrical basic courses. At present, the Department is undertaking 4 provincial and ministerial level projects and 8 school level projects. In recent three years, the faculty have published more than 40 papers, published 5 textbooks and monographs, and obtained more than 80 authorized patents.
The Department attaches great importance to the laboratory construction, and now is equipped with a physical laboratory, an analog electronic laboratory, a digital electronic laboratory, a single chip microcomputer laboratory, a robot laboratory, an electrical technology laboratory, a microcomputer principle laboratory, a PLC laboratory, and a motor drive laboratory, etc.
Adhering to the characteristics of “production and education integration” of MTI, the Department attaches great importance to the cooperation with enterprises. As a member of Group, it has established close contact with Moutai Group to ensure the high quality of practice and internship. In addition, the Department has also built laboratories and practice bases with enterprises. With the continuous expansion and deepening of contact between the upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry, the construction of practice and training base will be further accelerated.
