Center of Practical Training and Internship
The Internship and Practice Center (the Center), as the teaching assistant department of MTI, is responsible for the supervision, inspection, data collection and reporting of each laboratory, and the construction and daily management of public platform and public laboratories, and makes preparations for the platform experiment courses. At present, there are 10 in-service teachers in the Center. Among them, more than 70% have master’s degree or above, including 1 doctor, 6 masters, and 3 teachers with senior titles such as associate professor or senior engineer.
All laboratories, including the basic computer training and language laboratory, are equipped with multi-media and 10 Gigabit campus network, which is convenient for the implementation of a variety of teaching methods. Besides, the laboratory is equipped with advanced instruments such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC by Agilent), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), gas chromatograph, flame graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometer, high-speed frozen centrifuge, microscope, and fermentation tank. It is also equipped with electrophoresis instrument, fat analyzer, kjeldahl auto analyzer, automatic polarimeter, ultrasonic crusher, aseptic operating table, rotary evaporator, anaerobic incubator, biochemical incubator, tissue slicer and other professional basic instruments such as mechanical and electrical professional equipment, management simulation software and simulation comprehensive training room for Brewing Engineering Automation. These high-quality hardware and software listed above provide a complete platform for practical teaching, scientific research, and innovation and entrepreneurship training.
MTI has 7 training bases, including brewing engineering training base, food science and engineering training base, resource recycling training base, electronic and electrical training base, computer public training center, industrial and commercial enterprise management comprehensive training base and hotel management training base. Relying on the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and industry association, MTI has established 18 off-campus practice and internship bases while finding out the interests and balance points of MTI and enterprises respectively.
Under the guidance of the motto “Combine ability with virtues; Integrate theory into practice”, the Center actively explores the practice and internship environment for the cultivation of applied talents. In order to meet the needs of social development for talents, MTI should constantly improve the quality of practical teaching and improve students’ practical ability and innovation ability.
