On March 8, MTI held the 2022 “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” Competition Launch Conference in the Auditorium on the first floor of the library, which aims to encourage and guide the teachers and students to actively participate in the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship, improve the awareness and ability of innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote MTI’s innovation and entrepreneurship work to a new level.

Mr. Cai Shaohong, President of Moutai Institute, and Vice Presidents Ms. Yu Li and Mr. Tian Wuxu attended the conference.

At the meeting, relevant teachers reported on the competition process and awards of the 2021 “Internet Plus” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and “Challenge Cup” College Students Entrepreneurship Plan Competition.

Mr. Cai Shaohong pointed out in his speech that strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship training of college students is an important task for the development of a university and an important measure to comprehensively improve the quality of talents training. Teachers should be aware of its importance and vigorously promote the development of innovation and entrepreneurship practice activities, laying a solid foundation for MTI to cultivate high-quality talents.

Mr. Cai Shaohong emphasized that the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” competition tests the comprehensive ability and quality of college students. It is necessary to strengthen students’ ability of self-learning, deepen their self-consciousness of learning, develop good self-study habits, gradually cultivate interest in learning, and form an exploratory learning mechanism. Students should grasp the logical relationship between learning and application, knowledge and action, transform the theoretical knowledge into practical results, and apply what they learn to promote learning. Besides, they should strengthen the ability of innovation and entrepreneurship, in-depth learn professional knowledge, and make full use of scientific research resources for training, accumulating practical experience, and enhancing core competitiveness. At the same time, the school should also take the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” competition as an opportunity, continuously promoting the reform of teaching research and teaching practice paradigm to achieve good results.
